Author Appreciation Week Post 2

So today I have:

Suzanne Collins

Why I Like Her Writing:
At the moment, books featuring vampires and fairies are the “hot picks”. But I was so glad to see that Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games was not one of them. It was a new book set in another, well, time. All in all, it was a refreshing read. Suzanne Collins knows how to write a book that people will enjoy. She creates lovable, believable characters that you either hate or love. Her writing style is unique and truly her own. She was able to create a world outside of anything we’ve seen before and able to capture so many people’s attention. If you haven’t read her work yet than you have missed out.

AND NOW:

Meg Cabot

Why I Like Her Writing:
She’s a great writer, to begin with. Her characters are honest, funny, and so lovable that you just can’t stop wanting to know more about them. She knows how to write emotional, horrific, funny and mean fiction in her books and they all fit together well. She can also take a crazy idea and turn it into a book. She knows how to write dialogue and plots that will get through to YA lovers and doesn’t make them seem fake. Meg puts originality and her own flair to her work, something so many of us have grown to love.
