Summary: Falling in love was never so easy . . .or so deadly.
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
Review: After reading so much about this book, I finally got it! And I finished it! And I loved it! So this is why I’m sorry I didn’t pick it up earlier! Becca Fitzpatrick sure knows how to write which is saying something as this is her debut book! Hush, Hush was a really good book. I mean really good book! It was enthralling and enchanting.
Even though the beginning is a bit slow and takes time to get moving. There were plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing and at the edge of my seat! We meet Patch from page one and man is he HOT! You can really feel the heated attraction between Patch and Nora. Patch is the bad boy (or bad angel?): he’s dark and mysterious and has this sexiness about him. He’s also very cocky but it’s really good on him! Nora, though, is the straight A, never getting into any trouble kinda girl…who falls under Patch’s spell! Honesty, I’m not sure there are any girl’s out there who HAVEN’T fallen for him!
Having Nora for a main character was great! I loved reading this book from her POV, especially when Patch was involved! The other characters were really great but none was as developed as Patch and Nora, which worked really well for this book. Some characters were just not need, but I’m thinking they might play a bigger role in the sequel! My favorite character of this book? Patch! Actually, Patch was my favorite PART of this whole book! I loved him!
There was a lot of danger and mystery…and romance. Oh the romance! Patch and Nora’s love story was pitch perfect and bewitching! This book was definitely the beginning of their story and I can’t wait for more. But I did have some negatives: 1. it was too short! I wanted more Patch…now for the REAL stuff: 2. there was some things in this that I thought didn’t belong. For one, Marcie Millar was very annoying and I didn’t think there was a need to include her!
Oh, here’s a quote by the way:
“You smell good too,” said Patch.
“It’s called a shower.” I was staring straight ahead. When he didn’t answer, I turned sideways. “Soap. Shampoo. Hot water.”
“Naked. I know the drill.”

Grade: I loved it!
Cover: A-, it’s really pretty but I think they could have changed it to make it look better! But I do love it!
